CVD and HPHT, explained simply

Lab-grown diamonds are created by two principal methods. High Pressure High Temperature recreates the intense conditions found deep within the earth, pressing carbon into crystal. Chemical Vapour Deposition takes a gentler route, building a diamond atom by atom from carbon-rich gas.
Both begin with a diamond seed, and both produce genuine diamonds, identical in hardness, brilliance and fire to anything formed underground. The choice of method is a matter of the gemmologist’s craft, not of quality.
What unites them is transparency. Every stone can be traced from seed to setting, and every one is independently certified.
